On Saturday, February 28, 2009, with only 3 of 8 scheduled volunteers we accomplished quite a bit of work.
Habitat fliers explaining our Catholic House were delivered to area houses.
All debris was removed from the house and attic, including hot water heater and refrigerator. Zac took (or will take) them and old water pipes to the Ann Arbor Recycling Center.
One of two layers of bathroom floor was removed and one of three layers of kitchen floor was removed; will be sufficient to add the new floors over.
Wallpaper in the kitchen was removed.
Walls around the tub were almost completely removed; ready for new plumbing.
Venetian blinds and hardware were removed from all windows.
Electricians were there all day and should be done with the rough on Tuesday when they return.
ALSO: the shed in back was almost completely demolished, will be finished on Tuesday.
Thanks to all who helped,
Steve Polgar
